Fifth Grade

I am an Alumnus of Troy University, Walden University, and University of West Alabama where I received the following degrees/certification:

  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Degree in Health and Human Services --Troy University
  • Master of Science (M.S.) Degree in Education--Troy University
  • Doctorate of Education (Ed.D) Degree in Teacher Leadership--Walden University
  • Education Administration/Instructional Leadership (Certification)--University of West Alabama.

Prior to my career in Elementary Education, I taught health-related education with the AIM Project at Troy Regional Medical Center. My first teaching job was at Union Springs Elementary School (USES). While there, I taught a blossoming group of Second graders. After leaving USES, I came to Pike County Elementary School (PCES), the home the Mighty-mighty Bulldogs! Presently, I have the opportunity to give Fifth graders the instruction they need to be able to compete in this world and develop into a mannerly individual.  This year will be my 14th year at PCES and my 15th year of teaching! Go bulldogs!

My name is Stephanie Flowers-Alexander. I am from Troy, Alabama. I am the proud mother of three handsome boys: Tyler, Tyson, Tytus, and a God-sent daughter: London. Understanding the the significance of an education, I encourage my students to strive for excellence in all they do. My teaching philosophy is to educate the whole child. Students need to be equipped with skills from mastery level instruction, as well as, a solid foundation of character education. Wanting my students to receive the best education possible, I strongly support teaching students the importance of academics as well as character.
